Cookie policy
Short, because there is little to say: we set no cookies and run no trackers.
Last updated 8 October 2026
1. No cookies, no trackers
trytily.com and the Tily widgets on shops’ websites set no cookies. We use no analytics services, advertising pixels or social media trackers, and our fonts are served from our own servers, so visiting us does not tell Google or anyone else that you did.
That is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to accept. A shop’s own website may set cookies of its own; its cookie notice covers those.
2. What we keep in your browser
A few features remember things in your browser’s local storage, which stays on your device and is not sent to us with every request the way a cookie is. Each one exists only to do something you asked for:
| Name | What it is for | Where |
|---|---|---|
| free-tile-planner | The plan you drew, so it is still there when you come back | Free planner (/plan) |
| tily-plan-onboarded | That you have seen the planner's first-time tips | Free planner (/plan) |
| tily_planner_visited | That you have used the planner before, so the tips are not repeated | Tile planner, on any site |
| tily-visualiser:recent-colours | Paint colours you picked recently | Room visualiser, on any site |
| tily-auth | Keeps you signed in to the dashboard | Shop dashboard |
| tily-selected-token, tily-palette-recent, tily-setup-dismissed | Dashboard preferences: the selected widget, recent searches, a dismissed setup guide | Shop dashboard |
A shop may also choose to have the planner save a customer’s plan on their device under a name of its choosing, for the same purpose as on our free planner.
3. Clearing it
You can clear local storage at any time through your browser’s settings (usually under “site data”), or by using a private window. Everything keeps working; you will just lose a saved plan, see the first-time tips again, or need to sign in again.
4. If this changes
If we ever add cookies or analytics, we will update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it. How we handle data generally is in our privacy policy; questions to hello@trytily.com.
